Bob, are you using some kind of check valve or back flow preventor on the hose? I would be a little worried about a temporary loss of city pressure causing a vacuum and pulling yucky stuff back to the splitter

It is built into the quick release right on the hookup - - part of the package. I also have a second one on the other end of the hose. Good thinking.
