Rear tire Pressure 3500?

Just checked my rear tire pressure on, 04.5 3500 Dually.
all 4 tires came in at 37 ibs. per tire. Is this correct?
Doing my first big tow with my gooseneck soon do i need to add pressure?

What's the door tag say? I run range E's, but normally run 55 in the rear. If I load up, they'll top out at 80.

37 sounds like a smooth ride, but I wouldn't haul with it myself.

The dealer just set mine at 60 pounds because I thought they looked under inflated. Pete

Mine stay at 75-80 lbs., but I haul for a living. Tires last 70-80,000 miles.

I should say so , I would bump them up to around 55lbs at least.

I run 90-95 up front and 85-90 out back , of course that on a set of G load rated tires .

Because I never know when I'll need to hook up to my trailer I keep all my tires at 80 psi all the time......I don't care how smooth my truck rides so I never lower my tire pressure trying to make my truck ride like a country cadillac

According to my door tag, my Dana 80 is good for its 7500 lb GAWR at a rear tire inflation pressure of 55 PSIG. I run 60 PSIG in the fronts.

There's an extra little booklet on tire pressure that comes with the owner's manual, noting tire pressure for different vehicles empty and loaded. You need to add an extra 10 psi if driving over 65 mph and the truck tires aren't rated for speeds for over 85 mph as I recall. You're better off running pressures for the common loads and bumping it up as needed for a max load, as tire stress is cumulative and these things don't seem to always 'fail gracefully' when a tire blows.

When hauling 18,000 I run at 65 psi. Use the load inflation tables and put the thing on the scales to determine what pressure to run.

It is better to be over inflated than underinflated. I run mine at max in the summer which is 80 psi and the winter temps take it down to 70-65 psi on it's own from being so cold around here. Of course I tow a 13,000 lb camper in the summer.
