Re:rear end

Are you talking hauling or towing? There is a difference and to be quite honest with you the 3.54s will be just fine. Ask Haulin' in Dixie. He pulls loads that most of us would never even think of with a 2500 and 3.54s. I wish mine had 3.54s but it doesn't and am NOT going to switch. I just put taller tires on it to bring it down to roughly a 3.79 ratio. When I did that my mileage went up about 1.5 MPG. You should be happy with the 3.54s! Oh and by the way, welcome to the site. Fill out your profile so we all can see what you have.

Re:rear end

Try it out first to see if it pulls the loads without lugging the motor...it should be ok unless you encounter some very heavy loads or steep upgrades....if you do lug down a quick fix would be to add a box and increase your HP/Torque your HO with the 6 speed will handle more HP ;D

Re:rear end

My old '99 had 3.54 and pulled my 28' 5er just fine. It was pure stock except for the guages. It was a 5sp. manual.
