Pulling 5vr with a ball?
My wife and I are currently interested in buying a fithwheel. I pull a 30 g/n for work everyday using a B/W setup. I want to convert the trailor to adapt to may ball setup. Do you think it will pull the same on a ball setup as with a kingpin setup?
BW mades a drop-in 5er hitch.
Have you seen it?

I think most trailer manufactures would give you problems with warranty coverage if you changed the hitch point.

Do it right - with the B&W gooseneck, you're already halfway there. Use B&W's companion 5th wheel hitch. The gooseneck adapters that bolt to the 5th wheel pin box act just like a cheater pipe and greatly increase the moments (torque forces) applied to the 5th wheel pin box and frame areas. A number of individuals have experienced structural failures using these gooseneck adapters.
