Pictures of Rigs and Rides Part 2!!!!!
here's my load.about 4k.iv'e done alot of towing in my time.but, this is a whole different feel.i blew by fords and chevy's on some of the steepest grades in the west.fourth of july pass,lolo,1-90 vantage.on my recent yellowstone trip.the dodge never let me down.i'd literally blow by them uphill and slow down after the top and they were embarresed to pass me on the downhill side...
by the way those are ride rite bags with 75lbs in the back and a huge roadmaster swaybar.

thanks............several companies make short bed campers.8 to 8 1/2ft.try arctic fox, eagle cap,lance,northstar,host.......due some searching on the web and get educated on them.we always had one growing up as a kid..there fun for the whole family.and you can go places that you can't always get a trailer into.

Very nice set up BP!!!
I also agree with Rick.....very $pendy for the truck campers I have looked at in the past.
May I ask what an Arctic Fox like yours costs....or what you paid?
..
thanks for the compliments guy's....yes,they aren't cheap.i bought this 990.which is there 10 ft model used i paid 15k.it is an 04 that you can't tell from new.it has a/c and a built in cummins/onan generator.i wouldn't buy a new r/v,there are so many out there that have been used 2 or 3 times then sit for sale.the camper new is 30k so i got it for half.while campers aren't for everyone they do allow you tp pull a trailer or boat behind.alot of boaters and horse owners and 4 wheelers/snowmobilers buy them.in this econmy you can get a good deal if you look.
I'm curious...besides being able to run in more shallow water than a propeller-driven boat, what is the advantage of having a jet-powered ski boat? I would assume that fuel efficiency would be less with a jet boat (less mpg)??
.. I here they're doing a diesel pump now which should be a little more efficient..
I did not buy the boat for the drive, my wife said she liked it over the master craft that we were looking at and so I went for it. I can go out wake boarding all day on 15 gallons where my friends tige burn at least 30 to 40. It is powered by two 1050cc yamaha engines that rev out to 11000rpm and pruduce 160hp each. It will do about 55mph with just me and about 5 gal of fuel, normally with a full load it will do about 50mph. Also I can run in aobut 2 feet of water.
Here's my new toy, a 2009 Tango Vellagio by Pacific Coachworks. On the truck I'm hauling 2 Kawasaki Brute Forces. Quads, deck and extra gas is close to 1800 lbs on the truck plus the trailer weighs around 7000 lbs dry.
