overcomer,
I followed the same logic for my rig: Lance 1025, and a torklift hitch + extension for the bass boat.
I have yet to use the full rig...been out camping a few times. It's not easy with 2 youg'ns (3yrs old, and a newborn), and being laid off last week
Oh, well.

Just pics of my Wildcat 5th. First 4 pics are from a trip over Thanksgiving last year with two of the pics showing what happens when a tire de-laminates, it took out the wheel well trim and beat up the underside. The 5th pic is back home in Feb. of this year after a "big" (per Southern Maryland standards) snow fall.
Do you mind sharing what tire you have? Size/brand////where made?
I am curious if it is a Chinese made ST tire.
We have a trailer tire discussion/debate going on in this thread...

Sorry for your bad luck regarding that incident. I hope you got it all fixed up without to much expense.

I'll check when I get home on the type of tires. I know right now that a couple of them are Carlisles because that's what the tire shop had for trailer tires in a 15" rim. One problem I have right now is the alignment of the truck and trailer. The trailer rides nose high right now so the back two tires don't wear evenly and the front two hardly wear at all. The hitch in the truck is set as low as it will go and the King pin on the trailer is set as high as it can go. I still have a big gap between the truck bed and the trailer. I have noticed on most 5th campers that there is a small amount of space between the bed of the truck and the camper. I'm thinking that going with a taller tire on the trailer would be the right fix, but I need a good 2" to bring it level.
Here are a few more pic's of the truck and trailer at various campgrounds this year.

My 2004 ready to hit the road for some wheeling. Trailer weighs 5700, rig about 4500 and the camper about 500. The camper grabs a lot of wind so it feels heavier than the actual weight. I get about 14mpg loaded this way.
