Nothing wrong with 2 atvs on the back of a truck. I have done it a few times and you realy dont notice near as much body roll as you would think. We drove around Colorado for a week like this and went up pikes peak with them on there and never realy even knew they where back there.

Agreed, my Brother has the same overbed deck and a 2 place trailer for hauling sleds. It is very suprising how little body roll you get with a load that high up. It also tows and brakes much easier than a 4 place trailer. I would have gone with the same thing and a TT instead of pulling doubles. But we travel alot of miles in the summer, and a 5er suits us best.

Got a stupid question for you guys with the over bed deck, do you have fold up ramps to get the atv up or some type of crane/hoist?? With the ramp set up- at the angle going up to the deck, does the atv get hung up or extra long fold up ramps??

Just curious, haven't seen any around here and would like to make one for some other purposes....

I always tell people I just grab them and throw them up there. Sad part is most peole balive me. I never built ramps for mine but most do. Most people use at least 10 foot folding or splitable ramps. I have a set of 5 foot aluminume ramps an I just abck it in the ditch and use those. I realy have only used the deck a couple times. The one main time was there in the pics. My wife and I and anouther couple rented the camper and went to Colorado ATVing for a week. Shortly after that I bought my toy hauler and havent had a need for the rack anymore.
Bull dog is acompay that makes racks for ATVs. If ya go to there site you will see wha most people use.

Ramp fits under deck when not in use and telescopes out to 10 feet , driving bikes up on it on level ground is not for the faint of heart it is a steep angle ,especally the second bike because of only inches to spare, I usually try to find a slope if I can. I usually tell people I lift them up there too.lol some people believe it lol.

Sad but alot of people are that gullable.....I used to race carts and loading it at home, I had a raised front yard and would just back up to it, at the track I'd always get someone passing by to help. Cart only wieghed 220#. Those ATV's gotta be around 400-500 #'s.

Thanks for the pics......nice toys. I was on the right track of thinking, just curious. You could almost make a 'holding rack' under the platform to free up the bed floor for the ramp.

The ATVs weigh 600 pounds dry. Then add 5 gallons of gas,2 quarts of oil,2 quarts coolant, a battery, oversize/heavier tires, winch, lugage box with at least 100 pounds of junk in it and some other misc stuff and you are easly 800 pounds a peice, probobly more.

I grew up up by Forst City but for my entire adault life have lived in the NW corner around Sheldon. Most of my family lives in the Hampton area.
Ft Dodge is easaly the best riding in the state that I have found but unfortantly the local ideuts have decided to screw that all up. They wanted to make it a legal, state run OHV park. In the proces they completly closed down all the wooded areas and made a 300 acer parking lot on the south east corner of town to ride on. THey literaly dozed a section flat and only open it if its not mudy. You are not alowed off the trail and you cant off road in the off road park. I havent been back sence. They had the cops and DNR out confascating machines if you where not riding in there fancy new park.
