look at the gas tank vent for sure. Also, if you suspect the coil, run it til it stops, then hit the coil with compressed air or cold water, cool it off quickly, then see if it starts. if it does, there is the problem.
Well we can eliminate the gas tank vent. I ran it tonight with the cap off and again 7 1/2 minutes. Gonna get a can of air tomorrow to try cooling the coil. Man it would have been easy if the tank wasnt venting. Not my luck.
Ok, so ran it for the usual 7 or so minutes then shot it will air. Didnt make any difference. What did get it started again is I unplugged the fuel shutoff solenoid and then plugged it back in after it started. I had to keep unplugging it and plugging it back in to keep it running. Did this for a few minutes until that didnt work either. I have replaced the solenoid not to long ago. When all was said and done the unit was flashing 3 times which means needs serviced. When I checked the fault codes it came up 36 which is engine stopped without command by controller. The OM says to check the fuel tank, duh. It is full. Any other help would be greatly appriciated.
Messed with it again after I did the chores, 1/2 hour or so, and was able to start it again by unplugging the fuel solenoid. Then after it was running good I plugged it back in. After a few minutes, didnt time it, it just died. I tried unplugging the solenoid as it was dieing and it didnt help. I couldnt get it restarted after that no matter what i did. This thing is weird. I know I am close to getting it but it isnt making any sense. That $85/hour shop rate is starting to look good.
