Nylon Lube Plate

I have always used that Nylon Lube Plate and love it, but now I have a question. How often should I change it, or , when should I change it? I look at it and it looks fine, but is there something I should see that tells me it's time to change it?

i only change it when it breaks. but you should always keep a spare for when this happens. it usually happens to me when i try to back underneath it with the pin a little too low.

If you never lift your trailer when you back into it the "slick disk" will last over 1/2 million miles easy.

Yep I only change mine when I break it. Going on 4 yrs on this one. I grease the jaws & swival from time to time. I use slider grease in a spray can. It's for the track & gears on the slides but keeps the hitch operating properly & that grease dosen't collect dirt.

Where do you get this "slider grease" and what's the "real name" for it.

I have pads on both my trailers and like most of you change it when it breaks.

I wouldn't haul without it.

And I'll sell you the only bridge that leads to a tropical island where pigs fly.

The plates are the only way to go for the tongue weight of travel trailers..
