New trailer, have questions

Picking up a 20' pipe rail gooseneck on Friday and have some questions.

Are airbags a good idea?
I want the truck to set level when I hook up the trailer. (95% of the time I will only have a 4-wheeler and a dirtbike on the trailer, and possibly my wife if she doesn't behave).

If I go with airbags (other than above mentioned wife, probably Firestone) should I/do I have to remove the overload springs (I have the camper package).

Is insurance required/necessary? (Trailer will be titled in Texas)

When my B&W ball is not in use, is it possible for someone to steal it
(Instead of leaving it upside-down in the stowage position, should I just remove it and keep it in the truck?)

For folks in Texas with similar trailers, what does the state charge for taxes/tags on a yearly basis?

What brake controller should I get (this one is for FiverBob)
Just kidding on that one, I have a Prodigy.

Thanks for reading,
~Rob

20 foot trailer should not need airbags. Someone can steal the B&W ball yes and I imagine people in texas do know how to operate a B&W hitch (people in NJ don't even know what a gooseneck is)

Your trailer insurance is covered by your truck insurance for liability. There will be no physical damage coverage on the trailer normally, unless you pay extra for it.

I don't know Texas insurance but Colorado is one of the highest in the US for insurance and I can insure our TT for $130 a year. Now your trailer is just that, a trailer. Insurance won't cover what your haulin unless you pony up the extra $$$.
