New dually and Towing?

I pick up a new 07 dually CTD Laramie Wednesday. The wife and I are avid 5th wheel campers. How long do I need to wait before I hook up the 5ver before we head out?

I'm getting the external bed tank, the Line-X liner, and the Reese 18K signature hitch installed Thursday or Friday.

Yeah. I waited about 700, then towed my 5'er. I just varied my speeds for the first long trip (didn't set the cruise).

I also have the Reese Singature series. If you ever wondered what it will look like in a brand spanking new truck with Line-X..................

I like that hitch. I have the rails which are not to bad, but it looks like your hitch is easy to install and remove. whats left on the bed of the truck when you take your hitch out?

Round "pucks" the are raised up off the floor about 1/4"or so, there are supplied rubber plugs that fill rectangular holes to keep debris out when the hitch is not in.
If you are sliding something flat (sheet of plywood) the little plugs will hang up and pop out (no biggie). As far as my research showed, it's one of the nicer set ups currently out there.
Real clean.

I just looked at their website and they do look good. I need a slider (sb) and they make that same hitch you have with a slider. im going to look into it.

Yep, that's exactly what mine will look like. I LOVE this hitch! It is so easy to hookup to.
