Need to get cdl class A and have some ?

Check with the DMV. That means you won't have the option of driving a commercial truck other than a hotshot or bigshot rig.

Good advice from Bonshawman. The CDL laws are NOT the same from state to state. There are Federal minimum requirements that each state must conform to, but beyond that, the states can make them more stringent as they desire. They have to honor another states drivers' CDL even if it is more relaxed but they can do what they like with their own licensing requirements as long as they meet the Federal minimums.

Got mine at a local vocational school, $1000/,and three months later I had my CDLA. The instructor hooked me up with a job driving frozen foods around in a regular box truck near my home, for the same bucks most of the OTR guys were making.
