Class "A" CDL....is it state specific?
Can you guys educate me on CDL's....how do you get one?, are they state specific?, is it just an endorsement on your regular license? and any other tidbits would be helpful!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I went to my local DMV and took the written tests, and then had I guy with a semi that let me take the driving part in his truck. You can take a driving course at a vocational school, a private truck school, or a few truck companys have a certified guy that can give you your driving part. And the license works in every state, if you loose it in one state, you use it in all.Their is also a main database that stores all you driving miles if you drive for different companys over the years.I only have 2000 semi miles logged. Also you sign away alot of your rights when getting it, that car licenses don't have.My brother took the driving school at a vocational school to the tune of $1200 which is cheap compared to the truck schools $4500-and up. The schools are easier because you teachers push you thru, like on the parallel parking , and backins, and give you slack because the schools get a kick back from the companys they try to get you to drive for, which you could probaby careless about if your going to do your own thing.
