the other option is to raise or lower the pin box on your trailer and also raise or lower the hitch. i "lowered" the pin box one bolt hole and "lowered" my hitch two holes. it made my hitch less noisy and i was able to get the proper bed rail clearance.

oh i forgot to say... i would definately spend the extra money for a slider. if i were to do it again i would spend the extra money on the superglide. the money i paid to fix the rear pilar of my truck would have already paid for it, and you'll never have to worry about getting out to unlock the slider again...

Some where on here one of the members pulled out the spacers under the rear leaf springs. I think at the back of the bed he measured a drop of 2 inches. It's pretty straight forward doesn't cost anything. The write up he did is great and great photos too.

If you think the trailer will squat your truck too much with the spacers removed then put on air bags.
