P.S. I've looked at all of the photos in both truck and trailer rigs, but I am trying to see if anyone has fit a jeep in the back of a toyhauler. Jeeps in the gallery!

 

I have seen a jeep put in a trailer like mine but I wouldn't do it. Most toyhaulers out there aren't built heavy duty enough for that. What brand of trailer are you looking at?

 

I just went to an RV show and was checking out the Inferno series by K-Z.

Super-loaded.

In the garage I noticed a beer tap and collapsable bar stools. In the living area there is a staircase up to the loft bed above the divider wall. On the garage side is the access door to the keg-o-rator (sp?) that is tucked under the stairs...

Anyway, those buggers are very nicely equipped. I don't recall if the carrying capacity of the garage section is adequate for a jeep, though...

 

Heres mine loaded with a 700 Sportsman, 800 Outlander,660 Grizly and 700 Raptor. No Jeeps but its loaded toy hauler. Hard to say what it all weighed but just the machines where a little over 2500#. Then we had all kinds of other gear strapped to them and piled in around them so I would say its safe to say theres 3500# + in there.

 

Many toyhaulers could handle the weight over the axles, but the ramp door is a different story. Check that capacity too.

 

The particular jeep is actually just over 3500 lbs. (see sig) I'm mostly worried about the height, especially with the toy haulers that have a queen bed in the back.


The jeep itself is only about 12 feet long, so length isn't such an issue.

How tall is your entrence when the bed is up? or if you don't have a bed?

I am not sure what the height is with the bed up. Its high enough I can walk under it with lots of clearence and Ime 6'2". I would guess its around 6'6"-7'.

FYI: on my 44' hauler (18' garage plus RV quarters), the rear door is 95" wide, and 77" tall, with 73" of interior height (it also an inclined floor just inside the door which makes for more aft height). My WWII Ford GPW (Jeep) goes in fine as does any normal height car. Don't know if the newer/shorter toy haulers can really accommodate a Jeep, and if even flattening the tires would work, if your length/width are OK. Soft tops w/drop W/S work, but of course the roll-bar is the problem on most later Jeeps.
