kentucky trip
Just back from 900 mile round trip to Middlesborro Kentucky,
This Dodge amazes Me more and more each time . Ran with the Big Dogs (Semi Trucks). 85mph 2100 -2200 rpm up hills
and it was singing sweet (Removed silencer ring before trip)
Got 15mpg going and looks like 12 coming back , may be skewed alitte as the pump stopped filling at one station before full so 15 is maybe high but on next fill up that would make the 12low. Pulling 5000 lb Airstream the whole way didnt even know It was there unless You looked In mirrors.
Went To Watch The Glacier Girls First Flight , Anyone else Here attend ? What a Day and What A Feat. WWII P-38
Airplane Trapped under 268 feet of ice , Salvaged in 1992
restored over 10 year period Flew on Oct 26th 2002 for first time in 60 Years. I was in the right place at the right time
and sat on the main stage with all the Dignataries , As I said before WHAT A DAY. Thats the kind of things I bought a camper for to go see and do.

Coolness. I heard something about that a while back. Wondered what ever happened to that plane.

You need to come back to Kentucky to Dyno day at Black Mountain Diesel this week end. Tom has a spot to park campers too.

Re:kentucky trip
apc,

What rearend do you have that allows you to run 85mph at 2100RPM? Our 98 CTD with 4.10's is 2300 at 65mph, and the D/Max with 3.73 is 1900 at 65MPH. You must have like 3.40's or something?

Bill

That is sweed!!! I talked to one ofthe guys working on that project several years ago before they had much on the surface. All they had on display was the top turret from one of the 17's. I would have loved the opportuntiy to dig in the ice for them ore help put hem back together. Sounds like you had quite a nice experience.
