just bought a trailer

just got a 24 foot bumber pull. not sure who makes it but my brother and dad got it for 200 dollars. minor water damage from a leaking roof, but we fixed it all up. the only problem is we cant get the heater or hot water heater to work.(its propane powered) the ice box works on propane but nothing else. you can hear the heater fan blowing but no hot air. what should i do?

thanks in advance

When I bought mine, I had to clean out the pilot tube and the valve that controls the propane to it.

There was also an adjustment for the amount of propane to the pilot, it looked like a screw in the middle of a fitting. We screwed that out and slowly back in until we got the pilot to light.

You also need to make sure even tho the fan is running, that it is moving air as well from the heater box and isn't plugged up from insects.

the fan is running but not much air is coming out. there are four vents in the floor and the first two have a little air coming out but the last two(farthest from the fan) have no air coming out. When you look through the peep hole at the flame there isnt any fire. And i cant hear the ignitor ingiting.

Did you run out of propane?
That was the first thing i checked, thanks though

RV Heaters can have a ton of diffent isses. The most commpn is dirt daubers in the exaust holes. I had this once. The little buggers made a mud tunnel right beside the igniter and it would go to ground through the nest instead of making a spark to the metal. I had to remove the heater and completely tear it down to thump it out. I got a screen that covers the outside vents so it can't happen again. Also, spiders really like to make nests in there. Add a fle collor inside the case but make sure it won't get melted where it's placed. this will help out tremendously. Add one to the back of the fridge panle too.
