The squat look worse then it is, hard to tell but the back tires are kinda sittin in a low spot, parking lot all slopes that direction. I tried Air Lift bags and that didn't go to well so I might just leave it. The gross weight is in the 30,000-31,000 area.

Re:Just another haulin picture

What kind of troubles did ya have with the air bags? Guys up here in the NW are using ride rite and air lift with no problems noted...yet!

Maybe if ya backed the yellow truck on, then pulled the other one on, there would be slightly less tongue weight?

I love your trailer!

Re:Just another haulin picture

I can move both trucks back and get less tongue weight. But pulling that kind of weight you want to have enough on the tungue to make things pull good and safe, get too light on the pin and the trailer will push you around. Last time I scalled it I had 7,140# on the rear axle with a truck gvw of 11,860 so I was still under the 12,000# rating. I may have had it loaded a little heavier in the rear this time but not by much.

Problem I had with the air lift in the 03 was that they mount between the axle and frame. In order to leave enough room for the bag to travel up and down you had to leave the back of the truck pumped up to wear the empty ride height it, which is way to high in my opinion. I wanted to just rasie the back of the truck maybe 1-2" when loaded to make it level, but the air bags were bottomed right out when it sat level.

It is 40', 35' with a 5' tail. You can never have enough toys right????? Or enough money to keep them all going

I have some better pictures but haven't got them developed yet, this one was takin by a friend but was a little far away and out of focus.

Re:Just another haulin picture

I got a set of Timbren tow truck duty load boosters on my 02'. They are awesome. Since we got the new step deck I have been hauling 3 vehicles quite often and the first one sits right on top of the rear axle on the truck. I was gonna break some springs if I kept it up, so I put on those timbrens and it now squats down to the overloads and then the timbrens take over. Works like a dream. I have had airbags in the past and I like the Timbrens about a million times better.

Re:Just another haulin picture

I have seen them mensioned a few times over on the "other" board and have thought about that also. My biggest consern is that I need the truck to sit level so that the trailer rides close to level, if the truck is high in the back the trailer rides noose high.

Re:Just another haulin picture

Mine doesn't ride high in the back, just level. I am just barely touching the overloads when the Timbrens kick in.
