I had a Jordan cuz I liked the simplicity of it, the more you brake, the harder it apples the trailer brakes.
One trip we were heading out, I'm manually applying the brakes to get them warmed up so I can adjust them. All the sudden they lock full on, I figure my break away let go, stop and check, it's still in, I get back to the truck and my Jordan is smoking!
So I unplug the trailer, limp home with no brakes, no tail lights, borrow a friend's controller, we lose 1 day of our trip. While I was home I call the people who took over Jordan, he honors the warranty and says he'll give me a refund when he gets the old contrller since they're "upgrading" the unit and they won't be ready till the fall.
When I got home I bought a Tekonsha P3, it works well. I puled my Jordan apart before returning it, looked like the main ouput transistor on the heat sync was fried, melted and bubbly looking.
I like the idea of the Jordan but will stick with the P3.
