Issues with my Living Quarters trailer...
I'm having a issue with my LQ Horse trailer. Problem is, when I use a plug-in my A/C and microwave don't work, everything else does though. When I use my diesel onan generator that is mounted on top of the trailer, it all works properly.
I plugged the trailer into my welder today and same issue as using hook-ups- no A/C or microwave. But heater, TV, etc all operate fine. It used to work just great when plugged in. And I checked all breakers in the trailer and everything checked out fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm pretty green on how RV type trailers are set-up.

Yes sir it's a 30 amp plug.
I just realized, the breaker that is on my generator was tripped. So I turned it on (while the trailer is plugged into my welding machine, with generator off of course) And when I flipped that breaker it made a buzzing sound for a few seconds and tripped it again.

My old class C had a receptacle so that I eater had it plugged in the generator or at the campground outlet never both at the same time.
My 5th wheel has a contactor that prevents both circuits be connected at the same time.
You shouldn't have power at the generator if you plugged into your welder.
Would your trailer have a junction box with a bad contactor someplace.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Presume that the plug on your trailer is a three pin plug. Suggest that you use an ohm meter and measure the resistance from each pin to the ground pin. Will almost bet that one side will probably show as open.
Just thought you might be pulling to many amps with your ac or microwave, those two are your biggest draws, if you have time skip over to RV net, and you could do some reading on it. Both the ac and mw start up pull very heavy loads, for grins look up how many amps your ac needs to start, it may be as much as twice of the rating, once its up and running it comes down quite a bit. Just my thinking, and you are correct on it running everything else, not a problem, you might also try shutting everything else off, get your genny running, up the rpms if you can, then just try the ac, but not both the ac and mw at the same time, good luck
