Husky/Valley UBS or B&W turnover
I've narrowed down my hitch selection to these two fifth packages to keep the bed clean. What's your experiences and/or recommendations. The B&W turnover ball with fiver attachment will be about 200 dollars more than the Husky/Valley UBS system, but has 2K more fiver capacity and as a gooseneck can accomodate 30K of trailer. $1630 vs $1890
I'm new to this whole thing but have been trying to research as much as possible. Thanks for your input!

I had the B&W turnover on my 2001 silverado HD crewcab
I pulled numerous loads through the Rockies and Kootenays.
Excellent product and definitely worth the $$$
Highly recomended.

Hers's another to thow at you. Try looking at the Pullrite SuperGlide. They too have a gooseneck package and only leave you with 4 small holes in the bed & besides I think the latching mechanism is the best I've seen. IMO
But out of the 2 you mentioned I would go with the B&W w/5VR attachment

WOW where are these dollar amounts coming from?
Is that an installed price?
I paid $300 for my B&W gooseneck setup and the fifth wheel is another $600. Still not cheap, but not even $1000 let alone almost $2000.

Just had the Husky 16K UBS put on with the special Dodge no-drill kit- rv dealer did the work and commented on how quick and easy it was- clean install. Pulling a 22' Hornet and couldn't even tell it was back there- will be pulling a 16' Lund behind the 5ver this summer. The Husky is a double pivot- side-to-side as well as back-and-forth so it is super easy to hookup. Hitch, Hayes controller and install was just under $900. Looked at the Pull-rite and Hidden Hitch just to be fair - glad I chose the Husky.

I've got the B&W, timed it right with a visit to K.C. The folks at B&W put the hitch in, brake controller on and set up an electrical hook up in the bed - I believe I was outta there for under $500?

B&W s seem real robust. The 5er companion is built. It is pretty easy to take out in two pieces by pulling a couple pins to separate the hitch portion from the base , thus making it easier to take out when your by yourself (which is 99% of the time for me) Love the clear bed.
I've never seen the other product you mentioned so I can't give any side to side comparisons.

Well, the jury is in and as I type this the truck is in the shop having the B&W system installed. I did some phoning around town and was surprised to finad as much as a $500 CDN spread in the prices of the same system. One shop wanted more for the system cash & carry than the low guy wanted for the system installed. Highest price was $2354 installed and the lowest was $1830 installed (again funny coloured canuck bucks )
Thanks for the input guys!

I pull a 35' Alpha-Gold with mine. If your not a full time RVer then I think this is the perfect set up. I'm slaping the 5er Companion in this week-end for a trip to Bakersfield....then out again it goes.
You'll enjoy it.
