How Tall Is Too Tall?
ok problem is the fiver doesn't fit well on the 3500
too close to bed rails and tailgate
extension to pin box puts box too close to side rails when turning and really close when trailer is dropping to truck is dropping fron end
solution implemented so far
1. lifted trailer with 2 inch blocks, axles are soa
2. installing rv5 extension raised front end of trailer end result is about 1/2 inch after relocating pinbox
3. moved pin box back toward trailer 21/2 inches, moved pinbox a little further off tailgate for break over angle still too close for comfort on side rails when turning as described above
4. removed 2 spacers from truck spring set, this helped alot but did not fix the problems
how tall a block can i safely put under my springs? is 3 inches too much?
i have the necessary skills to build my own suspension if necessary i build custom jeep suspensions so i could rehang the springs but don't want the hassle unless necessary
any other suggestions are appreciated, i don't want the fiver to become unstable because of center of gravity problems
