Try www.hotshothauling.com - a good reference for you. There is a fair amount involved (getting the right truck, trailer, insurance, registrations, etc), and it can be "tough" to make a living at - but that is your decision. Just do your due diligence homework - best of luck
Well, im planning on getting into it also...Just make sure your trailer truck combo has a CGVWR of 30,000+, and if your hauling with your own stuff..you will have to pay your own insurance. I would suggest a aluminum trailer...for emties coming back.

it aint hard to get started if you got the moneyplan on spending about 2 to 3 grand for ins, plates dot # and you will need a class a liscense, learn how to fill out a log book, and then you will need to buy a trailer most want 40ft, if you get a 40 get with a dovetail more hauling options you have more freight but go to hotshothauling.com their is a place under legal issues that has the answers you want as far as getting started, as far as an aluminum trailer you better have big bucks a steel one runs about 9 grand not counting all your chains and straps good luck
