I agree completely! I know my trailer and trucks wiring inside and out and know when something is wrong!
Enjoy your new used gooseneck trailer!

Re:Help
I must admit I am pretty embarrassed :-[ over this deal. I guess the thing that is the worst of all is I do know better than just hook up and go but that 6-hour drive was on my mind and I was ready to get on Southbound I-35 :
.
I do have another question thou, while I was pulling the trailer back home I had to run out of Over Drive due to the trailer weight of 4,000 lbs and me missing my Power Puck. So for basically 6 hours I ran my truck at 2,800 rpm. Is this to hard on the Cummins or is it ok
?

Re:Help
This is the perfect thread for me to throw in my 2c. I just recently moved across the country with a new trailer that I bought to move all my stuff. When I bought it, the trailer had a 6 pin plug, but my truck had a 7 pin plug, so I was using an adapter. The first problem that I ran into was that the adapter contacts got loose pretty quick, so some of my lights wouldn't work at all,...or intermittently at best. Some of the lights on the trailer weren't wired correctly either.
I found the color wiring diragram so, I could get the trailer wiring in order. The second thing I did, was to replace the 6 pin connector on the trailer with a 7 pin so I could plug it straight in, and have backup lights and everything.
The coolest thing I did, was to move the 7 pin plug connecter into the bed of the truck from under the bumper, and to add a 6 pin connector. Now I have both types in the bed of the truck, and I don't have to worry about draping the cable over the tailgate, or using an unreliable adapter.
