Hellwig and a 5" exhaust

Got my Hellwig last week and tried to install it this weekend. It simply will not fit with my 5" exhaust. Anyone have similar issues? Am I just an idiot?

You are not an idiot. It is tight install even with certain aftermarket 4" tails. I have MBRP 4" duals with the Hellwig rear sway bar and it is tight. I have no problem envisioning 5" being too big to fit...without modifying the tail pipe, anyway.

Ok, thanks. I was looking at it and was thinking the stock exhaust must be tight because I'm only 1/2" bigger and there was just no way it was going to fit with my 5". I may have to find someone who can bend 5" and start fabricating something for a tail pipe that will work.

I have a 5" Flo-Pro with the Helwig. It's tight to the point of hitting when I bottom out the suspension, but it just dented what it need to, & it's all good now.It may have more to do with the placement of the pipe where it goes over the axle. Some will work better than others.

Mine is a Flo Pro too but I noticed you have a long box. I wonder if that could be the difference? It might just be time to break out the rubber mallett.
