Hauling john deere 4010 700 miles

I have a 1996 dodge ram 2500 auto, srw, stock. I need to haul my john deere 4010 with loader from Missouri to Ohio. It's about 700 miles. Am I crazy to the try hauling this?

Depending on the model and attachments it weighs between 7100 and 9595 lbs new. I don't know what kind of trailer you have but i would haul it with my 96 without so much as a second thought.

Tandem or dual tandem gooseneck trailer were my thoughts. Was going to rent it.

A 14k tandem tag will just carry it at 9600lbs, depending on size and construction they are up to 4000lbs empty. I strongly recommend checking the torque on the trailer wheel nuts before use. A tandem dually would be better considering the distance you have to travel. If you go goose neck watch your pin weight if you are passing scales... Goose/5ver pin weight should be 17% absolute minimum and closer to 20%.

If it has a cab, watch your height, does it have weights? What loader is on it? Is it a row crop or wheatland tractor? I would use no less than a 20,000lb GVW gooseneck trailer, 14k might hold the weight but you'll only be running on 4 tires vs. 8 and I know the roads between MO and OH ain't the best...

No cab, row crop, allied 545 quick attached loader, rear tires have no liquid, 2 jd wheel weights on each rear wheel.

thanks guys for your comments
