Grease trailer bearings every year??
Is it really necessary to grease the wheel bearings on a 5th wheel every year? How about every 2 years? How often do you grease yours?

Once a year or 12,000 miles, whatever comes first. You must remember this is the time to check the brake linings, puck and wiring while you are at it. Sure nicer doing it at home rather than stuck in some little town with the local gas station trying to fix them - - and trying to find parts. Be sure to put new grease seals in every time.

I do about 6,000 miles a year. I go for two years using synthetic grease (although I am switching to oil soon). However I agree with FiverBob (dang) that your brakes need to be inspected every year. I have inspection holes in my backing place so I don't need to pull the wheels.

I grease mine 2 times every year. I store my trailer from November till about April. So I remove my wheels and inspect/grease and adjust the brakes in the spring. In the fall I just grease the bearings (I have the grease buddy style so I do not need to remove the wheels to grease either the front or rear bearings). I like to do this to keep moisture out of the bearings and races during storage.
