I do not know much about gooseneck hitches either. At present I am investigating the Una-Goose hitch. It is very strong and simple. I am going to telephone their installers on Monday to see if their hitch can be positioned closer to the center of the rear axle. Like one inch forward of the axle. Una-Goose suggests placing the center of the ball at 52 1/4 inches from the front of the long box, which is four inches in front of the rear axle. For the short box Dodge the measurement is 32 inches.
jordan DOES work with adjustable pedals. Not sure how but it supposedly does.
