Re:Garage door size for 5ver

I like 12' wide doors ht as required. You can fit through 10 with 9" on each side, but then you have to squeeze though there too to unhook. I'm a skinny guy, but not 9" skinny. Should you decide to pull the truck in for service, the mirrors will just fit through 10'. Not many times you hear, Jeez I shoulda built that door smaller.

Re:Garage door size for 5ver

Many newer motorhomes will not fit thru a 10' door. Mirrors become a problem on the new 102" chassis. I know that we're talkin trailers here, but consider resale. 'Sides, the cost difference is not much, and I do love the "I shoulda built it smaller" comment!
DarrellB your dip is not near as bad as the one I'm looking at for access to my door. I was more worried about the height of the door than scrapeing bottom, oh well I'll add that to my list. BTW nice looking building! If I would have just bought on flat ground instead of on a mountain

I don't park mine in the polebarn full time, it just get's backed in when I want to work on something. It's nice to be able to coat the roof without worrying about rain. Just build the building as big as you can, cause I'm filling mine up quick. I'm looking at adding on 16' next year. ;D

DB
