Hi All
I am moving to Alaska and need some freight moved from New Canton Virgina to Ketchikan Alaska 3504 miles or Seattle Wa 2917 miles. This will be a freezer, an ATV, Tools, and some household goods. it needs to be loaded no later than the first week of February. We Can talk about rates
Thank You

If the ATV is the main problem you might check http://forwardair.com/ I know of several ATV's that were shipped by them when they were sold, they do many bikes and quads
It's hard to tell just how much "stuff" he has. A U-haul 6x12 would easily fit a freezer, an ATV, some tools and some stuff. But depending on how much stuff, stuff really is.
Why not do it yourself? Assuming you have a truck you are going to drive it there... or have it hauled?

At current fuel costs, you need to expect a minimum of $2.00/loaded mile for a gooseneck or smaller truck. Every 1,000 miles will cost $2,000.
Anyone that would do it for less probably ain't got enough sense to get there with your stuff.
It would be way smarter to sell or give away what you need hauled.
Freight will soon eat up the worth of the cargo.

Also, a truck gets paid for actual hub miles, which are always farther than the car route that those silly computer maps come up with.
Many towns between here and there have truck routes that are several miles farther than straight through; and, the computer route doesn't take low clearances and limited access into account. On a trip that far it would be easy to add three or four hundred miles to the estimate to have the actual hub miles.
