First Post, Wire color/ location suggestions?
This is my first question on my new(leftover) '03 S/O Quad dually.
I've been a diehard Ford Guy('67,F100;'80 F100,'88 F250HD,'95 F250HD PSD) you get the idea. The new 6.0s gave me the geebees and I met a few commercial guys that only run the Cummins so I decided to take the plunge. Please go easy on me as your ways are foreign and scary to a simple caveman like myself.
I am setting up my lance slide in and am having a hard time locating an appropriate wire to tap into in the engine compartment that is energized when the key is in the 'on' position. I need to install a Tekonsha solenoid switch which will control an 8GA copper lead to the camper which allows the use of the 12V refridgerator(basically a dead short when operating) while driving down the road.
On the Ford it was as simple as tapping into the windshield wiper feed, not the same setup on the Dodge. Has anyone done this install or have any suggestions?
