I recommended airbags to one of my coworkers for his tundra, he tows an 8000 lb tag along. Took him to my local cap and hitch dealer and ordered the firestones through him from airlift. He had them installed and they worked great for a couple months then one bag developed a slow leak. He brought it back to the installer whom verified a faulty airbag and contacted airlift. That's where the real problems started, call after call after call and a plethora of ridiculous procedure mandated to verify a faulty bag. Then airlift stated that it may not be the bag but if he wanted to he could send it back at his expense so they could examine the bag. If they determined the bag was faulty then they would repair or replace it then ship it back at the owners expense. My friend calls me and I go to the installer with him to get a firsthand account of what happened. He explained everything, showed me the call log and what they had him do to verify, all at his expense. He initially performed the proper diagnosis in the proper order on his own but airlift did not want to hear it. He also stated to me that this has become the norm with airlift since he took them on as a supplier. Super poor customer service with no warranty reimbursement to the installer. My buddy did get a new bag shipped to him but it took a month and after his calls to airlift to inquire the disposition of his claims. No shipping info or tracking numbers were ever furnished.

All in all the installer did a great job, my friend was very happy up till he had an issue thus resulting in extremely poor customer service.

So what say you Airlift?

easy to do the talk;but stand behind what you sell seems to be a problem with a lot of suppliers these days.I really don`t think they get it;If I see a bad customer service issue, I remember it and would never buy from that company. If I see great service I will go with the company that provides and has proven they care about what they sell. No issues with my Firestone bags and compressor after five years!

Airlift better do some damage control !

Sorry to hear your friend's issues with the faulty bag. I'm glad it was taken care of but that's not right that it took so long. I will forward this thread onto my customer service manager.

If anyone has any issues at all, and can't get any help by calling our main phone number, please send me a PM and I can do all I can to help you. That's what I'm hear for.

I'm running the Firestones and upgraded them with AirLift's Wireless AIR system. Now I can get out of my truck, walk around it, air up/down my bags as needed, and I couldn't be happier.

I run an AirHitch Divider with my minifloat and Firestone bags on the diff. at a 2/1 ratio and my rig rides like a lemo.

If you are not allowing your suspension to handle the larger
portion of the load you will get beat to death.

If your load is hitting you in the back of the head, move the majority of the load behind the CG with more weight on the trailer.

I (typically) attempt to keep 90% plus of my load over the trailer axles for the best control and ride. If you have a swaying problem.. SLOW DOWN (and make sure you are aired up).
