Hi guys, how can I tell if my 02 2500 has the factory tow package ?

 

The factory tow package runs a wire harness from just behind the drivers front wheel to the rear of the truck for the trailer connector. IF it looks like a factory harness all the way to the rear then it's a good chance that it came that way. Without the tow package the harness terminates just behind the drivers front wheel. You could also ask a dealer to look up your build sheet and see if your truck came that way.

 

I just received my build sheet, and it indicates that I have the tow package along with the camper special package... I guess I will go fishing under the dash when I get home...

 

There should be a 4 prong connector on the inside firewall to plug the brake controller into. May still be a plug with a pig tail in the glove box to plug into it too. Mine was still there when I bought it used in 2005.
