Installing a 7-pin connector on truck w/o factory tow package
My truck did NOT come with the factory tow package, just the standard 4-pin plug. I'm trying to figure out the wiring for the 7-pin connector. Do you have to rewire the truck to install the 7-pin plug/connector or is the truck pre wired with a plug hidden some where under the truck to plug the 7-pin connector into? I baught the Chrysler factory 7-pin connector which also came with an entire new trailer wiring harness. Any help on this is much appreciated.

not sure here, just guessing, but you will probably have to run wires for your brakes, auxillary power, and backup.
http://www.marksrv.com/wiring.htm has the information on dodge wiring colors.
