Edge Insight monitor

I installed a Edge Insight monitor in my truck, now i need some input.
I will be towing a 34ft 5th wheel toyhauler.
What trans temps should I expect when towing ?
What would be the best things to monitor when looking to get the best MPG when towing, if possible ?
Do the alerts flash on the screen when limits are reached ie: RPM ?
Look forward to hearing from other insight monitor owners.
thanks gordy

I had a Edge Juice with Attitude Monitor/Controller. I pulled it out because it was a pain everytime I wanted to go to the Dodge Dealer for something.

Installed the Edge Insight. I monitor Exhaust Gas Temps (installed another probe since the Juice probe would not hook up) Tranny Temp, Boost, and Engine Water Temp on my first selection. (4 in one screen) My second selection is Tranny Temps and EGT's. I have two more combinations set up along with the alarms for EGT's Tranny Temp, and Water Temp.

Set the Insight up on the computer and install it in the truck.

When towing the fiver, I see 175-185 on the Tranny. Exhaust Gas Temps 1050 with boost around 14psi. Water Temp stays at 198.

Exhaust Gas Hi set at 1st alarm point 1250, third at 1325. Did not use the second alarm point. When it goes up its so quick it don't mater.

Tranny Temp 1st point at 195 Second at 210 Third at 220. Tranny temp is taken from the Governor Pressure Sensor, I've heard, so a seperate temp guage in the pan my not show as hot. Don't know that for sure.

Engine water temp, first alarm at 210 Second at 220 and third at 230.

You really only need to set the first alarm point with any of them once you decide whats to much. When it goes off your going to be watching it anyway.

When the alarm is reached the screen turns color, you choose the color. It will also have an audible alarm and the screen flashes.

Read the instructions. I thought it was similar to the Attitude and tried to do it without reading. Did not work for me. Had to read it.

Its the best thing around for my money without getting into a programer/monitor.

Just changed the rear ratio today. Went to 4:10. So, what I posted above is with the 3:73's.
