Does my 3500 need a circuit breaker for a brake controller?
I'm planning to install a Prodigy soon. It will come with its end of the harness, and the truck came with its end, so basic hookup will be a breeze. However, I've read that you should put a self-resetting circuit breaker in line with the controller's power line. Since the 3500 was obviously designed to tow, and came with the towing package from the factory, does it already have "protection" for the controller connector under the dash or should I add a separate CB?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Dug into it this morning and found TWO fuses. #12 is labeled "Electric Brakes" and #19 is labeled "Trailer Tow". Both are 30A. I presume the former goes to the brake controller connector under the steering column while the latter goes to the 12V pin of the 7-pin connector on the bumper. Good idea actually, you don't want a load problem on the trailer to take out its brakes!
Now I'm on the hunt for a circuit breaker that will fit in place of those 30A fuses. I've seen CB's for virtually every other size/type of auto fuse, but that little cube-shaped one is weird.
