Is it really that big a deal to have to slow down once in awhile? IMO I'd keep the extra coin for a diff change or tranny upgrade in my pocket,and learn to live with a slightly slower pull up a steep grade.

$1000+ is alot of money when you're only encountering problems occasionally.

If you really have to be the first guy to the top,thats no problem either. All it takes is money.

Good point but I should have added that a buddy pulling a much heavier 5ver up the same hill with a bone stock 05 3500 out pulls me by 10-15 mph. Which tells me that my tranny is having to work extra hard. It did overheat since then while pulling at 20-25 mph up a steep grade. Going to upgrade the VB and TC in a couple of weeks. With summer coming on fast I have no desire to be sitting on the side of the road with a fried tranny waiting for a tow.
