Nate,

I have never seen another truck in my area with this type of cover. Makes my truck very easy to recognize. I had a Leer cap and had to replace glass 2 times on it. When it needed glass the 3rd time I found this metal replacement.

Thanks

I have one and had it custom powdercoated black to match my truck an LOVE it. It will EASILY hold 1600lbs. so believe it! It installs in a snap and all 3 sections barely weigh 75lbs.

Question for the 3rd Gen guys with the Diamondback - how much clearance is under the cover? If someone could measure from the bed to the cover on the inside I would appreciate it. I would like one of these covers but I carry a very large cooler and some other taller things that come to the top or a little above the bed rails. Would they still fit?

The clearance is to the top of the bed rails. Just a little over 20". There are several lower spots because of the rods that go across and the little hydraulic rods that control the lids.

The majority of the space is floor bed floor to the top of bed rails..

Truckman,
You could still get the cover though, based on the fact that it is made up of three different panels. if you want to haul a taller object, just fold one of the panels back. You will have as much heighth as you need then

Yeah I have been debating... I really like the cover, but if I do just remove a panel or fold back, or however it works, I lose it being weatherproof. I go on trips a lot with this cooler and luggage in the bed... dont want that to get wet if it is raining... I will probably still end up with one, once I decide I am ready to spend that much money... other things first for now.

Thanks guys.

I am going to look into this, since I both haul the ATV and the trailer. I don't like stuffing all my extraneous gear around the sides of the ATV , like compressor, extra fuel, fishing rods, and other gear. This looks like the answer, and a good one at that. Also, I'd like to put the other gear that I put in the back seat back there, like cold weather gear, first aid kits, and all that.
Several mentions of the black color, but no photos (or did I miss that?) since color is electro'd on, can it be ordered to match the color of the truck or in camo?
Thanks.
Hank

No the cover just locks itself. I added an electric lock/unlock kit to my truck so that the tailgate locks/unlocks with the factory remote.

Springer,
Turn that tip down and you can probably keep the soot off of your bumper...
Does the silver top get very hot out in the sun?
I have the black powder coated top and you could warm your lunch on it in the summer..
Looks like you live in a Dodge only neighborhood?

Yes a lot of dodge on my block. as a matter of fact there are dodge owners on all sides of me. As for the cover getting hot not realy but the avg. temp around here is only 75 year round.
