hey guys...ive seen this done but i dunno how much upgrading went into it...pulling one of those 3 car trailers around town with a 2500 model...providing all the equipment is top notch, how much of aspring upgrade do i need? anything else involved besides the leaf springs?...power is not an issue ...got plenty of torque

If you go by the book you will be way over weight, so just let me know what town yo live in so I can stay home whenever you decide to tow that much

haha funny *******! haha....towing ratings are almost the same for 2500 and 3500 series...3500 can take more weight on top of the axle...just wanted to know if its doable....im sure u wouldnt want me to say its better to use an F-550 now would u!!!! haha

You don't say what truck you have. I will tell you this, if you have a '99 to 2002 and it has the camper package (helper springs) all you need is tires that will hold it up legally. They should be 14 ply rated, like G159 Goodyears. You have to have a 100 pound pressure or above tire. With them it will be stable and run just fine. No spring help is needed. The springs are the same as the 3500 anyway.

Look in my album for a picture. Ran about 140 thousand that way.

Check out a '99 up and look at the springs, either 2500 or 3500 with the camper package and towing package. Make sure your springs are as heavy, I just don't know on the 12v. If they aren't, make them as heavy and put the tires on it, the truck will hold it and run with it. I have 260,000 on mine, now with dual adaptors (Arrowcraft) but the springs and axle is all stock.
