Camping Trips this year?

So... It is getting to that time of the year!!! It is warming up and we are starting to get the itch...

My Family has decided to take at least one 4 day camping trip a month to places withing 3-4 hours driving of Aggieland Texas...

We went to Lake Whitney and Dinosaurs Valley State park in Glen Rose last weekend and had an absolute blast hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking.

Next month we are planning to go to Huntsville State Park.

So.... Where are you going camping??

I hate to mention it Oilguy, but I will be going "to camp" tommorrow, for work. We had an early spring snow last night, about 4 1/2", with temps in the near 0*F range and a good windchill. Brrrrrrrrrrr! I say this was an "early" storm, because we're almost guarenteed one or two more, before break-up.

In two weeks my family is headed to Phoenix for Spring Training. We'll be there for a week. Starting in June we'll be camping every other weekend at our favorite state parks here in Colorado.

Our first camping trip will be the end of March. Going to Pacific Beach on the coast of Wa. and thats just the begining. I like to go at least twice a month, but work doesn't alway agree. So i settle for when ever i can go.

We have several already planned. Extended weekend of good friday, trip to tablerock lake in june, etc, etc. With the lower fuel prices were going a bit further this year while we can. Now just need some warm weather to get it started.

We were going to go to Lake Murray, OK for Spring Break....but that got nixed instead for a trip to NYC. (flight, hotel etc.)

But I do plan to take a long weekend and go RVing/ATVing sometime in the next couple of months. I am hoping to take the Toyhauler and go camping to Grand Canyon and Southern Colorado maybe in June. (just put on some new 16'' Tires and Rims!!)

I have promised myself that I would someday get to Moab in the springtime. My family has visited Moab three different times going to or from visiting relatives in So. California during the SUMMER TIME!!! We've only been able to visit the park for maybe 30 minutes before we consume all available liquids and start to melt. Someday, I keep telling myself someday.

Yeah I'm renting a 31' bumper pull travel trailer to take to Mud Nationals the first weekend of April. I need a brake controller.

Any advice?

My wife works for Eastman and they have a company campground that opens March 6th so we will be there then. We camp there alot in the summer as we can get a full hookup site for $10 per night. We also have reservations May 16-23 at River's End on Tybee Island.

TOAT--Trip of all Trips

Im in the Army, so moving to San Diego this summer. As part of the move, we're going to head out of southern New Mexico, go up to Mount Rushmore, then over to Devil's Tower, Yellowstone, down to Arches, over to Bryce and Zion, down to Vegas, over to Yosemite, then to San Diego. The detailed plan looks like 27 days...can't wait to do it!
