Prodigy, it can handle up to 4 axle trailer.

I like the "boost level" for loaded and then unloaded, no turning the
little **** to slack off on the brake.

I use mine on a 53 foot 3 axle car hauler with 4 cars Gross weight 34,000
American pounds with NO problems.

I also have a Tarasport 48 ft flatbed trailer with vaccum over hydraulic
disk brakes. I can say I really like the hydraulic disks.

IMHO

I have a Jordan and love it. A little tough to install, especially is you have adjustable pedals, but once it is in and adjusted, then FORGET IT.

I have been running with mine for 4 years towing tandem 37ft 14,000 lbs plus unit.

Remamber, you get what you pay for....

Best of luck with your choice.

Regards

I ran an inertia (Tekonsha) controller and then I switched to a Jordon. I'll never go back.

I could never get the inertia controller to do exactly what I wanted and I was always fiddling with the gain. Too high in the city at low speeds, too low in the mountains. The Jordon gets it right every time with no fiddling.

I love the fact that the Jordon shows the amperage going to the brakes. It is easy to adjust and works very well.

I had an issue with the cable holder on the Jordon. The cable was slipping in the clamp. I machined a tiny sleeve for the cable and clamped the sleeve and now I have no more problems.

I pull a 9500lb 5th wheel. I'll be adding a boat trailer behind it soon. The Jordon will handle 3 axles, but I am wondering how I will balance the boat trailer brakes with the 5er brakes. Anyone done this ?

Using a Prodogy here because the price was right - around $80 off an Amazon auction. It is vastly superior to the Tekonsha Voyager it replaced. The Voyager wasn't near as good as the cheap Hayes/Lamont it replaced.

I guess I'll chime in.

In my opinion, the two absolute best brake controllers on the market are the Jordan Ultima 2020 and the Brakesmart. If you have a lot of money to throw away, get the Cadillac of all brake controllers...Brakesmart. It is probably THE best brake controller out there. If you don't want to spend more than $100 to $120, get the Jordan. Both are superior to everything else out there.

You'll see a lot of Jordan owners that used to own a Prodigy controller, but you're not likely to see many Prodigy owners that used to own a Jordan. There's a good reason for that.

Thank You all for the information and your opinions. J. Ashtiani

P.S. Brakesmart is unavailable for an indefinite amount of time, so I bought a prodigy for the time being.
