Blue Ox Weight Distributing Hitch - ?
Blue Ox Weight Distributing Hitch - ?
Has anyone heard of or used one of these hitches? They appear to be a little more simple to hook up to (once they're installed on the trailer), and they SAY they don't need an additional sway control.... Anyone have any input?

AND if your opinion is they're junk, can you recommend what you would use? I'm looking at using one for an 8x24 enclosed trailer filled with furniture. The entire load probably won't be over 7K, but that would probably be over the limit for my factory installed Class IV tongue weight, let alone towing that size of a trailer from MO to CA and back... Or am I being paranoid?

I use the http://www.equalizerhitch.com/ hitch on both my 32 foot travel trailer as well as the 20 foot enclosed car trailer. The travel trailer weighs in between 10 and 11000 pounds while the car trailer is 7 to 8000 with the car in it. This hitch has been great - no sway at all. It is easy to hookup but noisey when making turns. This hitch is also relitively inexpensive.
