Any westcoasters up for a roadtrip???

See my post for hauling a boat to CA from FL.

I may be able to get a week off. 6000 miles is too far for 1 week with 1 driver. With 2 drivers it is doable though. This would be pretty much "***** out" with shift driving.

I can supply the truck, 11' cabover for accomodations, all expenses and say $1k for your time and experience.

You should be accomplished at towing moderatly heavy and have experience with the mechanicals of a trailer. First stop is new "shoes" for the trailer.

Maybe a good deal for one of you retired folks.

Better make a close check on the tape. 8.5 ft = 102 inches = MAXIMUM Interstate width.

11' Caribou cabover camper...... DO NOT CALL ME FROM JAIL, I don't except collect calls.

Just about every trailerable ocean boat out there has 8.5' beam. This is a 100% legal load.

Are you trying to imply the camper is too wide too???

I need to make this happen soon.

NO to the above, I was refering to the beam of the boat. I've seen slight slips
of the tape from drivers and from ?law enforcement in both directions.

The "JAIL" part was BIG BOAT + BIG CAMPER = ????

More of in the joke line than sarcastic.

OK ;-)

Tons of 8'9"s and 9' ers running around. I've never seen it enforced on a private vehicle. FWIW...i was being generous with the 8.5' The actuall beam of the boat is 7'11". The wheels MIGHT stick out a tad further.

Besides...we'd have some hookers onboard too...that oughta make the occifer smile ;-)

So looking at your truck it is a bumper pull trailer? Sorry if a dumb question, but since I got that trip to FL if the beginning of July is good I'd definately bring it back for ya. But then i'd miss out on the hookers

I THINK it's handled. Fellow DTR member is acting on my behalf to get it road ready, then towing it out here.

After my contracted transporter flaked on me...nothing is certain till it's here.

Thanks for the responses and if y'all are in this neck of the woods sometime, it would be a pleasure to take ya out to wet a line in the briny Pacific.
