air bags and toss the contact overloads?

It seems like a set of airbags would provide way more load capacity than I need so is it reasonable to ditch the overloads when adding airbags?

I'm fine for weight now but will be close to the load limit when I add a 50 gallon fuel tank. FIgure the ride might be better w/o the extra spring leafs too.

Are you're talking about the rubber stops which are attached to the frame and will make contact with the axle when overloaded? At least with the Firestone Air bags that I installed on my 2006 2500 those overrides are removed as part of the install process.

I long for the overloads that my 01 2500 had. My 06 mega 2500 does not have them. The airbags give me the height but the ride can be bouncy when hitting hard bumps ( pot holes uneven pavement)

Are you talking about your 03 2500?

On 3rd gen's only 3500's have overloads.
