Air bags Suspension ??

Installed airbags last weekend, towed 4-horse trailer w/ living quarters this weekend (15K??) and w/ bags at 60 lbs under acceleration truck acted like some sort of shudder/slow vibration from rear end, let air bags down to 35 lbs and shudder problem symptoms went away, am I doing something wrong, did I even need the bags in the first place? A bit frustrating to spend $$ and may not have needed to. Do I need to change set up? Timbrens are still on the truck but w/ air bags pumped up not even close to hitting stops on axle.
Or is this just part of learning where to set pressures?

Put a spacer to lower the carrier bearing...too much air binds the carrier...

Carrier bearing on the drive shaft? The shudder reminded me of bad U-joints but didn't vibrate as fast will take a look and see

Thanks

how did you make out ??

park on level ground hooked up... with LOW pressure...look at the carrier bearing...

then Put the air up where you had it and see if it is binding the bearing on the BOTTOM...

You likely had too much air in the bags causing a driveline angle issue. That would be my guess anyway if you let air out and the problem went away.

I have installed Firestone Airbags on my 1st. Gen.
There seems to be a narrow window of driveshaft/ pinion angle on these trucks.
I got a noticeable vibration when it was lifted about 2" over the stock height.
The cure was to install shims under the spring pad.
