Adding L.E.D. light's to my trailer
I've all ready bought the light's and mounting base's. I wish I was home so I could take a picture. My light's mount to the end of the cross beam's of the trailer. There's no where else to mount them along the top rail. So I'm stuck with this type for the top. I could use a differant type for the extra light's I want to add along the bottom,,,,but I'm one of those **** kinda guy's and couldn't stand it if my light's all didn't match.

If you look at the link below,,the light I'm using is the amber one's at the bottom of the page. The problem is, the mounting base shown above the light is too big. I don't have that much room to screw it down. There's another style where the screw's are inward, and it use's the screw as a ground. My system only use's a 1 wire light, so I need that type of base anyway, or I would have to add another wire to all my light's and drill grounding hole's.
Well,,that's probly more than you asked for, but there it is in a nut shell.

I don't know why the pic is so bad. Click on the link to see it better.

I replaced all of my lights on my toy hauler with LED lights. This is what I put on for tail lights.

I went to Wal Mart and bought red and amber running lights for about $5 each. You may have to shop around for them at that price. I went to a few different Wal Marts but only found them at that price at one. There were some for about $7 but they did not match the ones I previously bought. I bought all they had the first time and had to wait till they restocked to finish. I like them a lot better and I should have the corrosion problem I had before.
I would also suggest soldering the connections and use shrink wrap to insulate the connection. Crimp connections just don't works as well and could get water in them.

I have always replaced the standard lights with LED's on my open trailers. When I purchased an enclosed trailer several years, I checked the amp draw prior to changing to LED's. The draw was approximately 16.5 amps with the stock lighting. Adding 6 more marker lights, plus 2 mid turn/marker lamps, all LED, the amp draw was now 7 amps. I have always preferred a "brand" name, like Truck Lite, and not the "off shore" stuff. As for theft, I have been lucky. The rubber boot mounted STT ( Stop Tail Turn )and marker lamps are easy to steal. If you notice most semi trailers with LED's, use the "flange" mount with tamper proof fasteners. Anti theft trim rings are available, and help "discourage" theft. Also, since you have a load with your vehicle's "directional" lamps, in most cases the flash rate is not effected with LED's in the trailer. The only down side to the LED's is "no heat" to melt the snow & ice off of them. I know, some of you will say what is snow & ice...

Cant go wrong with LEDS! My fleet is 100% LEDS. I use only Trux Brand lights http://www.truxaccessories.com/opening/index.htm
SAPPS
Now that's some light's. I think you might have a light fetish,,,,lol. How about a daytime pic so I can see how you mounted them.
I swear I was just going to ask for people to show some pic's of what they did. Feel free. But I don't think anyone can beat SAPPS,,,lol.

Where did you have them mounted along the top. I have no place to mount any unless I weld on a tab or something.
What kind of 3 car trailer do you have? I have a countryside and swapped out all my lights to LED's I think it was around $300 for mine I dont have as many as Sapps (I want to add more) but I have 4 ovals in the rear along with 4-2.5" round, then along the sides I have 6 more 2.5" rounds and plus the midlight mine are all flush mounted into the frame rails escept the midlight.
