92 gvw and fifth wheel hauling

We are considereing another fifth wheel but I am not sure of the specs for my truck. Is there a spec sheet where I can figure all the load capacities for the truck?

I need to know the payload for the box along with the towing capacity for a fifth wheel.

Also is anyone setup the way I am and pullin a fifth wheel with a toung wheight of 2800 lbs and an additional 1000 in tools and fuel? The gvw of the fifth wheel is 15K. Am I asking just to much from the ole girl?

thanks

Mine is a 91 SRW. I can put 3000 # tongue weight and have got close with freight but with 5ers up to 36 feet have had no problem with tongue or gross.
I hear the 3 axle units will over gross the combined package. I can tow up to
about 23,500 within the trannys specs and was liscened for 26k of frt. My tranny shop told me at 26k I was definitely overweight for the truck. Under commercial use (everyday) the nv4500 tranny is good for about 120k.
Hope this helps. RC

Ok here is the deal. We were camping with the club last week and we were able to weigh our rigs. Now my truck is a 92 3500 five speed with 355 rears. The front wheels weighed 2000# each. The rear wheels were 2800 each with the fifth wheel on. The 4 wheels of the trailer were about 1800 each. Now my transfer tank holds 90 gallons of diesel and was empty at the time of weighing. I fugure the transfer tank loaded with diesel would weigh about 600# or so this would put the weight @ 3100# per rear tire. Now the fifth wheel we are looking at has a pin weight of about 1000# over the hitch weight of the fifth wheel I was weighed with. That would bring the weight on each tire to 3600#. I can get tires that will go to 3750# per tire and would be within my limits but what about the truck itself?

My gross combined weight now is about 17K. With the new camper I will be about 23K.

Will the drive train take his load over the long haul or is it just a matter of time? Are other people pullin this kinda weight without any problems?
