5TH wheel nose to tall

I have a 05 quad cab 4x4 dually ( LONG BED ) & A 04 Sprinter 293 FWSL. Just installed my 5TH whell hitch a super5TH ( nonslider ). I can't remove the spacer blocks under the rear springs on the truck because if I do I will not be able to remove the brake caliper bolts. The trailer axles are under the springs already. There is a real thick over load spring on the truck about 1" thick ( w/o measuring ) wandering if anyone has removed this leaf ? The trailer has a extended pin box from the factory. I'm thinking if I took off the extended pin box & replaced it with a shorter pin box that this would put a little more weight on the truck to help compress the springs. I know I could use a pin box at least 8" shorter than the one on the trailer now. I have 6 1/2" of clearance at the rear of the bed rails to trailer. When hooked up on level ground the front of the trailer is 6" higer than the rear. So I need to drop the front 3" to get level. My main concern is to much weight on the rear trailer axle. I know my problem is not unique so who doing what ?

You have a equalizer in between your tandem axles on your trailer. Nose can go up and down quit a bit without changeing axle wt much.

I would call the manufacturer and ask them for there advise. They will give the best info on what to do. That's what I did.

How often do you intend to remove the brake calipers? Seems you will be asking for more problems trying to work around that than accepting the "possibility" you will remove the calipers. How hard is it to remove those blocks? How hard to loosen a couple bolts so you could remove the calipers perchance the need ever arises?

Welcome to the world of 4 x 4's and fifth wheel trailers.
