Thanks for the update about the adaptor kit for 2005. I haven't bought anything yet, but have heard that the kits can run $360 (drill thru frame) to $600 (use existing frame holes) for the Pullrite Super 5th hitches.

FWIW I drilled mine.
Keep the holes spaced out and close to the center of the tube (the center carries no load... that's all done by the top and bottom). And, use the odd sized bit (pricey btw) and pull those studs through. Drilling both sides is a no-no, you can crush the tube.
I only have one year on mine and 5,000 miles towing 10K. So far, so good.
