5.9 / 6.7 dually to replace 2005 SWR

OK, I must replace my 2005 SRW truck with a long bed dually as my current rear axle weight is approaching my GAWR and I will be full timing with a fifthwheel trailer and still have to load a bunch of gear.

I am looking at a 2006 or 2007 and need some info on this decision. I like my current 05 but the 48re tranny has weak spots especially if i want a future exhaust brake. Can anyone help me on the reliability reviews of the 48re in the 2006 vs the 68rfe in the 2007. Likewise how did the new 6.7 pan out compared to the 5.9?

Trying to gather this info from the variety of past posts is daunting so I am hoping for some summaries that you have all gained by experience. thanks a lot.
